Our chapter sponsors a program called Trout in the Classroom. Currently, both Julia Randall Elementary and the Rim Country Middle School have chilled 55 gallon aquariums where the students can observe and participate in raising trout from eggs supplied by the Arizona Game and Fish Department. This allows students to learn about the life stages of trout and appreciate the importance of cold, clean water as the students monitor and manage the temperature and water chemistry needs of the fish throughout the school year.
